This is a question that, as a business owner, you likely ask yourself fairly frequently. You may always be questioning your actions in your head: Is this what I should do to grow my business right now? Am I focusing on the right things?
It’s a valid question. And, there’s so many answers one could give.
But, in my experience, these are the two most important things to do for your business right now:
#1: START
Often, when trying to answer this question in your own business, it leads you down a rabbit hole. You don’t know where to start, so you find yourself literally stuck in a habit of not starting. Unfortunately, you accept the status quo and allow your business to remain stagnant.
That’s why it’s important to start today. Whatever it is you want your next business venture to be, start today.
For example, maybe you’re a trainer or speaker, and you’ve been steadily basing your business on doing that for large audiences. However, beginning a new area of your business such offering your services in the form of an online training or one-on-one coaching, can take your business to the next level. But, for some reason you’re struggling to take the first steps to expanding your business.
TODAY is the day — START.
Whether you’re in the beginning phases of your business or you’re seasoned at running your business, now is the time to start whatever it is that you’ve been wanting to do to move your business forward.
Once you get started, you begin a journey. You make goals and a plan, and, ultimately, you take your business to the next level.
#2: BE CONSISTENT
Consistency is the key to success. It doesn’t matter what your business is, consistency will help you build a successful business.
First, it’s helpful to establish a consistent schedule. Your day-to-day tasks help ensure that you’re accomplishing what you need to do to meet your goals. Set certain times that you check your email and check off your daily tasks to avoid distractions. Sticking to a schedule creates a sort of muscle memory to help you maintain productivity.
Second, create consistency in your marketing plan. Getting yourself out there is essential to growing your business. With online platforms, the ability to market your business is literally at your fingertips. Regularly creating Facebook Lives, for example, and connecting with people on social media will help you establish your brand and recognizability in your target market.
Pushing yourself to start and creating a consistent plan will help you recognize the opportunities that are in your business right now.
There are a lot of opportunities if you look for them, and if you take that step in that direction, I would love to connect with you. Contact me today to ask me any questions you may have and discover if there’s anything I can do to move your business forward.
