Consider this scenario:
You have an AMAZING program. It will undoubtedly help your ideal client overcome their biggest challenges. You can’t wait to help your ideal clients and for them to reap the benefits of this program. And, you’re generating interest in your business. You’re talking to a lot of people who are seeking information about how you can help them. But, for you, these conversations are falling flat. You’re not feeling the connection that you hope you would from an ideal client. And, because of this, you’re feeling uninspired.
Sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone.
How can you overcome this challenge to ensure you connect with YOUR ideal client?
Acknowledge some clients aren’t for you.
And, that’s perfectly okay.
I recently had the experience where I was having a conversation with a potential client. During the conversation, I realized we weren’t a good fit for each other. And, I didn’t want to bring that stress into my business–or into theirs. Because, ultimately, if we aren’t a good fit for each other, neither of us is benefiting and both of our businesses would suffer.
You can do the same. You may find that you just don’t jive with someone. Even someone who may check off every box that tells you they are your ideal client.
This is YOUR business. Look at your business and determine who you really love working with. Think about who you look forward to talking to and interacting with. They are the ones who make you love what you do. And, those are the ideal clients that you want to fill your business with.
Use your ideal clients.
Your ideal clients should serve as models for how you connect with potential clients. Use them as a bar for when you’re bringing in new clients.
Get feedback from your ideal clients.
Ask them questions like: What made you decide to work with me? What were your pain points? What fears and struggles did you experience when we started working together? What did I say and do that solidified your decision?
Then, use their responses to guide your messaging.
What better way to attract your ideal clients than to hear what worked directly from your ideal clients? This is how you effectively build your message and really connect with your audience.
Strong messaging means that you’ll ultimately speak to your people. The people that you want to work with. And, the people who need you the most. And, with that, you’ll make a perfect match!
