Measurable – To create a measurable goal, consider: How will you know when the goal is accomplished? This helps you narrow your goal even further. For example, how much do you want to grow your business? It is a specific number of clients you want to bring on or a specific amount of sales you want to reach?
With a measurable goal, you’re able to focus on specific and assess your progress along the way. This allows you to constantly reflect on how close you are to your goal and make adjustments in order to make the necessary moves to achieve your goal.
Achievable – Deciding whether or not your goal is achievable serves as a reality check. Lofty dreams are great and oftentimes necessary. But, achievable goals turn your dreams into action. In business, it’s unlikely that you’ll go from nothing to great success in a short amount of time. But, it is likely that you can make goals that serve as stepping stones to your dreams.
When creating a goal, consider what is achievable within the constraints you’re currently facing (financial, time, etc.).
Relevant – While business growth is always relevant, how you grow your business is dependent on where you are currently. A relevant goal considers the current timing and environment. You have to ask: Is this the right time? Is this goal manageable?

Time-Bound – What is the time frame in which you wish you achieve your goal? Is it six months? A year?
