“Change occurs when excuses pivot to execution.” – Ryan Lilly

The current state of the world and business has forced people to evaluate and, in many cases, completely change the way they do things.

Some have completely embraced the change while others are making excuses convincing themselves not to change.

Right now, those that are the most successful are the people who are willing to make the change. Those who are willing to pivot their business.

While this is undoubtedly uncomfortable, those to have made the most stride in their business in this current climate have embraced the change. They’ve recognized that change is good and not something to fear.

Change helps us evolve–as individuals and in our business.

Where do you stand? Have you pivoted your business? Or are you making excuses?

Need some inspiration to pivot your business? Try this:

Adjust Your Mindset: Don’t resist change. Yes, change is uncomfortable and causes a great deal of uncertainty. But this moment demands change. In order to grow your business and reach your goals, you must adapt. Things may get bumpy, but let go of the excuses and focus on the process and your end goal.

Rethink Your Networking: If you’re like me, you may be used to going to networking events, walking up to someone you don’t know, and introducing yourself.

With COVID-19, I’ve had to rethink this. Now, I’m using social media to grow my network. I’m using connections that I’ve made on LinkedIn or Facebook that I haven’t had the change to connect with one-on-one and inviting them to a virtual coffee. By doing this, I’ve grown my sphere of influence and this has allowed me to grow my business in a different way than I had in the past.

You, too, can do continue to grow your business by rethinking how you can do things a bit differently.

Get Creative with Your Products and Services: Like many business owners, you may need to pivot the way you execute your products or services. For example, if you’re a speaker who is used to being on stage, you have to change how you can offer your services in a different way. For example, you could do a virtual summit, Facebook Live, or a podcast. Whatever your product or service, the key is to find ways to continue connecting with your audience.

Establish Consistent Marketing: Focus on consistently showing up to engage with your audience. Provide value and authenticity. Reach out, show your humanity, and make connections that will help you establish a following. This allows you to connect on a deeper level and continue to grow your audience.

To grow your business now is the time to stop making excuses. There are many ways to pivot your business and I would love to chat with you about them. If you would like to brainstorm about how to move your business forward, I would love to connect!
